Bio
Born
in Kano, Dec.23 1969. David Bonat Victor Musa is a Northern Nigerian
with multi talents. With a deep G oddly heritage, Dave’s musical
statement has been influenced deeply
by Church upbringing. He attended Kent Academy and Air Force Military
school both in Plateau state. He also attended university of Maiduguri
where he read Economics.
David’s
musical inspirations include Lady Smith Black Mambazo, Take 6, Cliff
Richard, Amy smart, Louis Armstrong and Phil Driscoll among others.
The different styles of these are reflected in his work hitherto
unreleased. He has two albums to his credit and several appearances
at the National Programmes.
David
plays the trumpet, trombone and saxophone and flute. Dave likes
initiative creativity, dynamism honesty hard work and determination.
He hopes to carry African vocal music to new heights and dynamic
levels even beyond the Grammies (music ultimate awards). He has
mentored and helped establish two groups HQ Sound (an accapella
group) and Ananala Jazz group. Both groups are based in Jos.
He
is presently an apiculturalist.
